Gregg Drilling & Testing, Inc. maintains a large inventory of hollow stem auger, rotary drilling and coring drill rigs to meet a wide range of environmental drilling and geotechnical drilling site investigation and remediation needs. Our full-time mechanics and preventative maintenance program ensure that all necessary equipment is available and operating at maximum efficiency. This commitment to quality allows us to offer the most responsive and cost-effective drilling services.

Gregg Drilling has a variety of drill rigs available, from small limited-access drill rigs to large truck-mounted drill rigs. Support trucks accompany our rigs to all sites and provide extra equipment at no extra cost to the client.  We own and operate the following equipment:

CME 95 Hollow Stem Auger Drill Rig

The CME 95 was designed to be used for the really deep jobs where high torque and extra heavy duty augers are required.

CME 850 Hollow Stem AugerDrill Rig

This versatile rig is designed for off-road locations where medium depth auger, coring, or mud rotary drilling is required.  The CME-850 can go places you can’t even walk. The high flotation allows you to negotiate soft mud, deep snow or sand and the walking beam suspension easily climbs over rocks and fallen logs. This rig has a very low center of gravity which provides the stability you need in off-road conditions. Angle drilling capability is standard.  Low pressure steel D-dent tracks allow for approximately 2.9psi pressure.

Versadrill Tophead Rotary Drill Rig

The Versa Drill V-100 Mud Rotary Drilling System was designed for use on Geotechnical and deep environmental site  investigations. It has the ability to minimize site impact yet maximize efficiency and data collection.  The V-100 rotary drilling system is specifically designed and equipped to fulfill the requirements of DMG Special Publication 117 for soil liquefaction investigations and provides the highest quality sample data collection available.

These powerful hydraulic rigs are used at locations of limited access and low overhead clearance. They are mounted on rubber tracks. The Rhino can obtain excellent soil, vapor and water samples using conventional hollow-stem augers or direct push technologies.
