Cone Penetration Testing Equipment
The track-mounted units Gregg operates are designed
specifically for difficult or limited access locations and have
low tread pressure suitable for work on areas with extremely soft terrain such as tailings, beaches,
and swamp areas. They are outfitted with four jacks to raise the rig and create a level and stable working platform.
Marsh Buggy - A compact and rugged steel frame allows the marsh buggy to traverse un-even and very soft ground. Using its resting weight, the buggy can push CPT through the center of the unit.
Swamp Buggy - Outfitted with six rubber tires and designed
to work on very soft soils or swamp-like material. A drill rig
is positioned on the rear allowing the swamp buggy to push
cone using the drill rig hydraulics.

The Marsh Buggy is pictured above completing cone testing in a coastal wet-land. It’s enclosed tracks allow it to float in very soft soil and marsh-like environments, perfect for tailings or coastal work.
The Swamp buggy is a self-propelled vehicle on six large rubber tires. It can traverse soft ground and
complete drilling or CPT from the rear of the vehicle.
