MARINE PLATFORMS
To provide maximum flexibility to our clients, Gregg operates a number of modular barges. Depending on the water depth, current, and drilling conditions, Gregg can conduct drilling and CPT operations from various jack-up or floating barges. With a maximum leg length of 40 meters, jack-up barges can provide a cost effective means for drilling and sampling soil sediments in near shore environments.
A number of drill rigs are suitable for drilling over-water and Gregg has extensive experience conducting mud rotary drilling, soil coring, Cone Penetration Testing (CPT), and seismic CPT.
The modular nature of jack-up barges allows for convenient shipping to any location and expedites mobilization and set-up time. These crafts are available in a wide range of sizes and can be easily transported and deployed in reservoirs, lakes, wetlands and harbors of varying water depths.
Clients rely on Gregg’s drillers for their in-depth knowledge born from years of experience drilling in a variety of soil conditions. We can anticipate problems before they arise to provide a smooth project experience even in rough waters.
Flexi-float barges are modular and can be configured to suit specific location requirements.
Containerized jack-up barges are easily transported to sites world-wide.
