Port Hueneme

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) working in conjunction with local consultants, Diaz Yourman & Associates utilized Gregg Drilling to perform a geotechnical site investigation at Port Hueneme for potential deepening of the channel. Gregg deployed our purpose-built drill-ship, the R/V Quin Delta to Port Hueneme for the work. The Qun Delta is ideally crafted for work in ports and harbors due to its shallow draft of only 3-ft and 70ft long spuds for anchoring in tight shipping channels. Gregg completed CPTs in 30 locations in up to 50ft of water to a maximum penetration depth of 30ft below the mudline.
