Santiago Creek Dam

Gregg Drilling was contracted by AECOM to perform a geotechnical drilling investigation at the Santiago Creek Dam. The work was to support their investigation on the integrity of the dam and any improvements or recommendations. Work began in 2022 with some over-water drilling in the spillway section of the demand continued in the Spring of 2023 with drilling and geotechnical sampling on the dam itself. Gregg utilized a truck mounted drill rig to perform 10 borings ranging in depth from 75-150ft. Both Pitcher Barrel sampling and HQ coring was completed in each boring.

Work will continue in 2023 with over-water drilling in the reservoir from a small spud barge.
