SMUD Collinsville

Gregg Drilling was contracted by Kleinfelder to drill 300ft borings and install 6″ diameter schedule 80 PVC wells at the Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) site in Collinsville, CA. At each location, a 9 7/8″ pilot hole was initially drilled to depth and reamed to 12″. Well was set from bottom to 50ft below ground surface and completed with a 5x5x6 well pad. Gregg later returned to the location to develop the well by bailing, surging and pumping. 

Highlights:

•  Versadrill rotary drill rig used for initial borings and well installation in February 2023
• GEFCO 40K air rotary rig used in April 2023
• Well development by bailing, surging and pumping
• Yield test after development
• 5x5x6 concrete pad installed
